Past Simple: Regular and Irregular Verbs
Tell stories about finished events using -ed endings and the most common irregular verbs.

Use the past simple for actions that started and finished at a known time in the past.
- Regular: work → worked, study → studied, stop → stopped
- Irregular: go → went, buy → bought, take → took, see → saw
Negatives and questions use did: I did not go. Did you see the film?
After did, always return to the base form: Did you went is wrong; Did you go is correct.
